Edmund’s has just released their take on 100 Greatest Cars of All Times just in time for Woodward Dream Cruise.  The top car is a 1932 Ford Model A. The 1959 Austin Mini finished second, followed by the classic 55 Chevy, and the original Volkswagen Beetle. The list is a diverse one, including the Taurus, Prius and Explorer.  Vehicle’s were judged on their significance. In addition Bugatti, Ferrari, Bently, VW Beetle, even minivans made the list.  Other cars on this list range from vintage to modern vehicles, everyday cars to race cars that have shaped drivers lives.  Sales performance and production hasn’t made a big impact in Edmunds compiling.

Edmunds said creating the list was challenging to times but a lot of fun.  There was a lot of debate about other vehicles on the very diverse list, but not about which vehicle should stand at the top. Greatness on this list was determined by significant contribution to American automotive culture.
