Just Released, a Few More Sneak Peak Details of JX Crossover

Penske Infiniti is happy to share with you a first look at the JX seven-passenger crossover.  The JX, is a midsize seven-passenger vehicle with 3 rows and a sleek interior.  It will also being built in the U.S.,  at Nissan’s Smyrna, Tennessee plant.

A concept of the JX will be show publicly during the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August, and the production version is scheduled to debut at the Los Angeles auto show in November. The JX is set to go on sale in spring 2012 as a 2013 model.

Details about the JX are slow to leak out. Infiniti gave a few details about the JX to our dealership. It says styling of the JX greenhouse will pick up cues from the Essence concept car that debuted in 2009 at the Geneva motor show.  JX shares almost nothing in common with the up-to-eight-passenger QX56, at least in terms of its appearance. Details are as sketchy, but it is easy to imagine such a model could be offered with a choice of 3.5-liter V6 and/or 5.0-liter V-8, as with the FX.

A three-row crossover will give Infiniti a competitor to vehicles such as the Lexus GX and the Acura MDX a run for their money.

Inside, the JX will debut the next generation of Infiniti’s telematics and infotainment technology–which we’re really looking forward to checking out.

That’s where the speculation ends.

Infiniti plans to release more photos of the concept in the weeks leading up to the Pebble Beach event. Penske Infiniti will be following this very closely, bringing you updates and more news as it comes to us.
