The Ferrari 458 Italia has been awarded with yet another prestigious award. This time Ferrari has been named the Performance Car of the Year award at the 2011 new Card Awards held by Auto Express, beating 20 other performance cars to the award.
The Ferrari 458 Italia has received more than 30 international awards to date, including the 2011 China Automobile Industry Outstanding Achievement Award, BBC Top Gear’s ‘Car of the Year’ and ‘Supercar of the Year’. The German automotive public also voted it Best Sports Car 2011 in the specialist magazine Auto Motor und Sport. In the USA, the Ferrari 458 Italia won the title of World Performance Car of the Year 2011 as well as Robb Report’s Car of the Year 2011.

The engine used in the award winning Ferrari 458 Italia is a marvelous, hand-built 4.5-liter V8 engine. It produces 562 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque. As you may have assumed putting something so powerful together can be painstaking but obviously from the constant award recognition so worth it.
