The annual Penske Elite Technician Program, introduced in 2016, recognizes and rewards Penske Automotive Group’s top performing technicians for their outstanding credentials, skills and contributions. To be eligible, technicians must be nominated by management and meet specific program criteria including the highest level of training and brand certification, exceptional production and proficiency metrics, outstanding and verifiable credentials, and other important qualities.

After meeting program requirements and advancing through a challenging technical exam, nine technicians qualified to compete for top honors at the 2017 Penske Elite Tech Challenge in Mooresville, N.C., March 20-23.

During their stay in Mooresville, the finalists enjoyed several fun activities and competitions including a tour of the Universal Technical Institute NASCAR training center; a pit stop competition at the Team Penske race shop with members of the Team Penske pit crew; a GoKart racing competition at a local track; and a tour of the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, N.C.

As part of the Elite Tech Challenge, the nine finalists completed a final timed exam during their visit to the UTI training center on March 21. The following evening, at an awards banquet, representatives from the Universal Technical Institute, Shell-Pennzoil, Snap-on Tools, PPG Industries, Cintas, BG Products, Team Penske and Penske Automotive Group honored the technicians and celebrated the “2017 Penske Automotive Elite Technician of the Year,” Joe Hunter from Motorwerks BMW, who was the top scorer on the exam.

Along with top honors, Joe, who has been a technician for 18 years and with Penske Automotive Group for 4 ½ years, was awarded an experience for two at the Detroit Grand Prix in June.  Included in his prize package for the Detroit Grand Prix were airfare, a hotel stay in downtown Detroit, special seating and paddock passes, among other things.

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich., April 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Penske Automotive Group (NYSE: PAG), an international transportation services provider, announced today that it has acquired Schumacher European, LTD., a Mercedes-Benz and Sprinter dealership in Phoenix, Arizona.  This new dealership is located contiguous to the company’s Scottsdale 101 Auto Collection which currently represents fifteen franchises.

“Schumacher European is a well-respected and top performing Mercedes-Benz dealership,” said Penske Automotive Group Chairman Roger S. Penske. “This new dealership expands and enhances our premium/luxury footprint in the Phoenix metropolitan market and further strengthens the company’s overall automotive retail portfolio. We welcome the Schumacher European employees to the Penske Automotive Group team and look forward to working with them to grow the Mercedes-Benz business in this important market area.”

The acquisition is expected to generate estimated annual revenue of approximately $250 million.  The company now operates nine Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the United States.

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI March 7, 2017 – Penske Automotive Group (NYSE:PAG), an international transportation services provider, announced today that it has expanded its presence in the United States with the acquisition of the Jaguar and Land Rover dealerships in Paramus, New Jersey, from the Prestige Family of Fine Cars. The acquisition is expected to generate estimated annual revenue of approximately $215 million.

Scalable, Stand-alone Used Car Centers to Expand PAG’s U.K. OperationsExpected Accretion of $0.07 to $0.09 per Share

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich., Feb. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Penske Automotive Group (NYSE: PAG), an international transportation services provider and a leading retailer of prestige vehicles in the U.K., announced today that it has completed the acquisition of CarShop, one of the U.K.’s leading retailers of used vehicles.  CarShop retails high-quality used vehicles at fixed retail prices as part of a transparent customer buying experience.

CarShop has been in operation since 1999 and has five large-scale retail locations operating in Cardiff, Swindon, Northampton, Norwichand Doncaster, plus a 15-acre vehicle preparation center in Leighton Buzzard.  CarShop has received numerous awards, including being named U.K. Car Supermarket of the year for two years in a row.

CarShop is expected to generate estimated annualized revenue of approximately $340 million with accretion estimated to be $0.07 to $0.09 per share on an annualized basis.

Commenting on the transaction, Penske Automotive Group Chairman Roger S. ’Tis the season for spreading good tidings and cheer! Penske Automotive Group dealerships got in the spirit of giving this holiday season through numerous charity efforts across the country. With toy drives, coat drives, canned food drives, and more, we were proud to see the Penske family come together to make a difference within their respective communities.

Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and Porsche of Fairfield collected new, unwrapped toys for their local Toys for Tots Foundations so those less fortunate could experience the joy of the holiday season. Each year, Toys for Tots aims to unite all members of local communities during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign, and our dealerships are always there to lend them a helping hand. Mercedes-Benz of Warwick also held a toy drive for the holidays with all donations going to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State, a charity that aims to provide positive mentors to Rhode Island youth. Meanwhile, BMW of Turnersville paid it forward by holding a food drive all month long, and Chevrolet of Turnersville remembered those who have served by partnering with Wreaths Across America. Each December, Wreaths Across America coordinates wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as over 1,100 additional locations to ensure our veterans and their sacrifice are never forgotten.

Other dealerships across the country showed some love for local charities as well, with Lexus of Chandler, Tempe Honda and Porsche North Scottsdale all setting up drop off locations for Arizona’s Toys for Tots Foundation. In California, Mercedes-Benz of San Diego got in the spirit of giving with AJ, from The AJ Show, by helping him reach his goal of 100,000 donated toys for Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego.
